WHC helps communities solve economic problems by investing in their entrepreneurial spirit through micro-financing and providing community development programs.
- VMP (Vev Market Project): Purchase sellable goods for widows to sell in the market and then widows keep the profits and return principle funds to the program. Once the funds are repaid, they are recycled back into the project.
- Planning job training for industries
- Build houses for those needing it in the community
- Goat program: Goats are very valuable property in Haiti. Goats are relatively easy to raise in a condition such as in Haiti, requiring no feed. Goats breed about twice a year. Each goat can yield funds comparable to one month salary of a professional worker in Haiti. WHC USA started to provide goats to selected needy students at Philadelphia School. These students will keep alternate baby goats and give the other to school. The school will, in turn, give the collected baby goats to other needy students.
